How cute can one little guy be, well the answer is very, very, cute.  Dannel was our long awaited for boy from the kennels of Selmalda, a kennel we have admired for many years.  And Dan was well worth the wait.  This is probably our favorite picture of our boy at 9 weeks of age,  such a bouncy, cuddly little man, with a great big personality, that has never waned.

In keeping with the teutonic names that we gave the pups "Dannel" is also teutonic.

His name means "let God be the judge "

He fills his day making sure he does not miss anything..... which means walking away from a bowl full of food ! He likes to run in the local fields and woods, but ,our big boy has a slightly prickly allergy to nettles !! Which means he cant settle until he has his cream to take away the itch.  Dannel is a true gentle giant, who thinks if one paw fits... all fits.

Dannel had a little time out of the show ring to ensure he grew well into his big frame, and as you can see from the picture above, that he has done.  He returned to the ring last year, to the Pennine Great Dane Club open show where he took 1st in Limit dog.  Still very bouncy we have had to show him very sparingly, he returned to full time showing this year and to date, he has done what he was born to do, at the South Western Great Dane Club Championship Show, and in a very strong Limit class of 14 exceptional dogs, Dannel gained a 2nd place, giving him his longed for Stud Book Number, and his pass to Crufts Dog Show for the rest of his showing career.

Below are a few recent pictures of Dannel, our boy is too hansom for words.

We would like to thank Lesley and Adam Chappell, of Selmalda Great Danes for giving us the chance to own and show one of their spectacular Danes, and also to all of our friends for your support and encouragement of our boy.  And lastly a big thank you to our boy Dannel the main man, for making us smile everyday.
